TMIS Quick News Ticker

Fee Balances

Parents, if you are receiving PowerSchool alerts for fees due, please disregard. We will mail paper invoices to anyone who owes fees.

PowerSchool Logins

Parents, we will be mailing home your new PowerSchool logins in the next couple weeks. Your patience is appreciated.

Late Start Days

Late Start Days: September 1, October 13, November 3, December 1, January 5, February 2, March 2, April 6, May 4

Once per month, both PCHS and TMIS will be on a Late Start schedule. This schedule can be found in the student agendas and here. School begins two hours later, at 9:25am. School buses will run the same routes, just two hours later than usual. Please do not send students to school before 9:00am as there will be no adult supervision.

These are professional development work days for our teachers and administration -- they attend meetings, work with other schools, or work on required department projects. These few hours are for our teachers to work without students.

District News Emailing List

Want to know what's happening in the District? We have created a service that allows you to subscribe to emails detailing District news, events, and highlights. This is an opt-in service. If you want to receive occasional emails with news about the District go to: https:/lists.uen.org/mailman/listinfo/pcsd-news and follow the directions under "Subscribing to PCSD-News."

New Race and Ethnicity Reporting

A simple two-part Race/Ethnicity form was included in your August registration packets. We MUST collect one completed form for EVERY enrolled student--this is required by the U.S. Department of Education. See the district's Race and Ethnicity Page for more information.

General School Information

PowerSchool - Checking Grades Online:
Students and parents can check grades online, anytime, using PowerSchool! See our Check Your Grades page for more information on using PowerSchool and Teacher Pages. Every summer, the district re-assigns all student and parent PowerSchool logins for security purposes. New logins are distributed at the beginning of each school year (student logins will be printed on their class schedules, and parent logins will be mailed home in early September). Login information can also be requested at the school, however, schools cannot give logins over the phone, by fax or email; they can be mailed home or picked up in person.

From the Attendance Office:
• See the Attendance Policy page for rules and information on TMIS and PCSD school attendance expectations.
• TMIS does not accept phone excusals. Send an excuse note to school with your student when they return.
• TMIS requires that students be checked in and out through the attendance office during school hours.

Address Changes:
1. Come in to update your student's demographic information.
2. Bring in new proof of residency. You must re-verify that your new residence lies within the Park City School District boundaries. Simply bring in a document that shows your new physical/service address, the parent/guardian's name, and is dated within the last 60 days. The document must be associated with your primary residence (i.e. a gas bill, an electric bill, or a lease agreement). Contact us if you have any questions.

New Student Enrollment:
Please see the New Student Enrollment page for information on enrolling your student at Treasure Mountain.

Withdrawal From School:
It is important to properly withdraw from one school before enrolling in another. Direct questions to the Counseling Office.
1. The student's parent/legal guardian must to come to the Counseling office in person to sign a Withdrawal Form.
2. The student takes the Withdrawal Form around to his/her teachers, turns in all books, cleans out their locker, and pays any outstanding fees/fines.
3. The completed Withdrawal Form must be returned to the counseling office before the student will be dropped from our rolls.

Not receiving mail from TMIS?
Throughout the year, many letters get returned to us as "not deliverable." If you are not receiving mailings from TMIS, please stop in or call to confirm that we have your correct mailing address. Don't miss out on important school information! Thank you!

Locker Assignments:
Students may NOT change lockers without first asking the front office. This is a safety and security issue.

PCHS Activities for This Week:
See "Upcoming Events" on the Park City High School website.

Help Financially Support TMIS without Spending a Dime!

TMIS is kicking off a new relationship with the Market at Park City grocery store. You do not need a card or ID #, just save your original sales receipts and bring them into the TMIS front office. Each quarter, TMIS has the potential to receive an $1,800 donation for every $50,000 spent by TMIS families. This is a potential $7,200 that the Market Place would like to donate in appreciation of TMIS families' support. Other area schools are already taking advantage of this generous opportunity.

Don't hesitate, start saving your original Market at Park City receipts and let's see how much money we can kick off with in the 2009-2010 school year!
